Big Top Baby Shower

Step right up and check out this Big Top Baby Shower from SHE Paperie & Design Boutique with photography by Brooke Ashley Photography. What a great way to celebrate the guest of honor before her new balancing act of juggling 3 little ones begins!

From Suzanne: First up is the invitation. Aside from coming up with a custom design especially for the guest of honor, incorporating creative wording is always of equal importance to me. Phrases like leaps into her new act of juggling 3 little ones, announcing the showtime for the date + time + place, and RSVP to the ringmaster were a few that I included.

I really wanted to incorporate tickets, so cylinder glass vases overflowing with oodles of them lined the tables. Other decor, not shown, was the infamous bunting flag garland, colorful vases filled with yellow flowers, and photos of mama and her beautiful bump. And wouldn’t it have looked cool to twist red and white streamers together, gather them together at the center point of the ceiling, and create a tent effect over the entire room?! I’m thinking YES. Maybe next time!

This is the ticket cake project that I couldn’t wait to get my hands on. It was as easy as gluing candle sticks and a glass plate together to create the pedestal for the cake to sit on. Then I just pinned rows of tickets onto 3 different sized styrofoam cake dummies, glued striped wrapping paper on top of each layer, added a ringmaster cake topper and VOILA! The centerpiece for the food table was created in no time flat!

And lastly, these are the thank you notes that went with the rest of the pre-made goodies. By repackaging them into a festive cellophane bag tied up with a bow, the presentation was much sweeter than its original.

The menu I recommended for the evening (think circus food) was a hot dog station complete with various toppings, chips, potato salad, mama’s favorite spinach and strawberry salad (placed in individual cups), fruit skewers, and various sodas with striped straws. And for the dessert table: cupcakes, white chocolate popcorn, old fashioned taffy, circus peanuts, animal cookies, stick candy, and cotton candy. What a wonder circus themed baby shower!
